Prefabricated houses - an ecological and comfortable contemporary life environment

The definition of prefabricated house in the European classification is that it is building of wall and ceiling elements, which are produced in industrial conditions and transported to the construction site, where they  are assembled on the prepared substrate.

The constantly increasing share of these houses on the European construction market in Western Europe up to 30% from one and two-family houses shows how well accepted this modern form of construction is.  The short time for construction, the rapid absorption with absolute cost transparency and the guaranteed "shop" quality are just some of the arguments in favor of the prefabricated house. Manufacturers offer the customer a building where all the elements for its proper operation and long lasting functioning are brought into absolute harmony. Here are implemented "energy saving house", "Low-energy house" and "passive solar house." In many places good earthquake resistance is also an argument "for" choosing these houses.

And while prefabricated wooden house has long been known in human history, in Europe the industry of prefabricated houses emerges during the 50 years of the last century and the wood is only one part of them, giving a way to a number of new materials.

Wood is a natural and “breathing” material that can absorb any dynamic impact without harming the integrity of the structure. In the construction of wooden houses the wet processes are reduced to minimum and that way the annoying awaiting for the remaining humidity is being evaded. On the other hand concrete has the property to absorb the heat from the room which augments the expenses for heating. Even if a solid exterior thermal insulation is to be set up, the effect would be satisfying only if it is performed in a high quality manner. This will raise the expenses even more. While in wooden houses this problem is not present because wood is good isolator – it does not absorb and does not emit heat. That way even without additional thermal isolation a significant reduction of the expenses for heating has been achieved and saved money can be invested in more high    quality finishing works and furnishing.

And yet the most significant advantage of wooden houses is the speed in construction and the small number of workers. In practice the process of mounting the house on the foundations already laid and with ready made wall panels continues no more than a month and if a week for finishing works is been added, the house is fully ready  for around a month.

Thinking for the resources and future generations, wooden house is almost fully constructed of renewable materials and that can be recycled – wood and plaster. Choosing this you get comfort, coziness, safety, durability that are so wanted in our everyday life.
